Beware, your Vicco Turmeric Cream may not be original !

Vicco Turmeric Ayurvedic Cream has rules the hearts of Ayurveda followers. For decades, Vicco’s flagship product has kept its standards high and satisfied its customers. However, there were a few complaints from Delhi regarding its standards and when investigated, it was found that a fraud company has been misusing Vicco brand’s goodwill and standards to sell spurious Vicco Turmeric Cream.

When more complaints about these companies were received, a complaint was registered with the Delhi Police against the fraud company, its owner, the distributors as well the spurious drug suppliers and the packaging company. However, the cream is already in market and many people are falling prey to the wrong cream. Speaking more about it, director of Vicco Labs Sanjeev Pendharkar shared, “We do not want our customers to buy any substandard products under the garb of our name. That is why, we have given various differences between the original and spurious Vicco Turmeric Cream so that people can be better informed and stay protected from the side effects of spurious products.”

“With an intension to retain our goodwill and ensure that our valued customers are unharmed, we have given out every minute detail that can help people identify the original tube from the spurious one. Our valued customers do not need to experts to differentiate between our original Vicco Turmeric Cream and spurious one. They can check the cartons, tube and cream for various differences and they will be able to choose the original one in no time,” informed Mr. Pendharkar.

While checking the carton, check for the five major differences. The flaps of the original Vicco Turmeric Cream are tamper-proof and sealed with hot melting glue, as against the flaps of spurious carton are merely tucked in and not glued. The printing quality of the original Vicco Turmeric Cream is good and images are crisp, while the spurious carton has illegible text and dirty images. Another distinction on the carton is presence of watermark between the slanting lines at the background. The logo of Vicco has black, drop down shadow in both Roman and Devnagri scripts, which is missing on the spurious pack. The fine shimmer texture on the Vicco Turmeric Cream carton is also missing in the spurious carton.

When you check the tube of the cream, take a five point test to ensure you have the original tube of Vicco Turmeric Cream. Check for good printing quality and sharp images. The spurious tube would have dirty images and poor quality print. The crimp of the original tube is sharp with narrow vertical lines, whereas you will find broad vertical lines missing in the spurious one. If you find thick and broad background slanting lines, you are duped as it is a spurious tube. You will find it difficult to read the text. But if you find narrow, sharp lines and legible text, you have purchased the perfect and original tube ! Check the cap. If the colour is bright yellow, the Vicco Turmeric Cream is original and if the colour is dirty yellow, the tube is spurious. Check out the MRP and Expiry date. They are printed on the crimp and batch number and manufacturing date is embossed on the crimp of the original tube. On the other hand, the manufacturing date and expiry date is totally absent on the spurious tube and MRP and batch numbers are embossed.

Lastly, check the cream. If you get a pleasant sandalwood fragrance and smooth, yellow coloured cream, you brought the original Vicco Turmeric Cream, but if you find dirty yellow coloured cream with abhorrent fragrance, report it immediately as you have received a spurious tube.
